Honey-Nut Baked Peaches

Active Time: 10 minutes   |   Total Time: 30 minutes   |   Serves Serves 4 to 8

  • 1/2 cup walnut halves
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 ripe peaches

Heat the oven (with the oven rack in the middle) to 400°F.

Chop the walnuts and add to a medium bowl along with the almonds, brown sugar, honey, and salt. Stir together. Cut the butter into small pieces and add to the bowl. Use your fingers to break the butter into very small pieces and combine with the nut mixture.

Cut the peaches in half, twist, and remove the pits. Place them, cut side up, on a rimmed sheet pan. Fill each half with the the nut mixture. Bake until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are softened, 15 to 20 minutes.
