Pesto Steamed Halibut

Fill a large pot with water 2 inches from the top and let come to a boil. Place a colander in the sink. Use your fingers or a paring knife to remove the stem ends from the beans.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the almonds and cook, stirring, until golden brown 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Add 1 tablespoon of the salt to the boiling water then add the beans and cook until just tender, 4 to 5 minutes; drain.
Add the beans, pepper (12 turns on pepper mill) and the remaining ¼ teaspoon of salt to the skillet and return to medium heat to heat through, 1 to 2 minutes. Use tongs to combine.
