Grilled Sirloin Steak
Active Time: 5 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes (plus marinating time) | Serves Serves 4
- 1 pound sirloin steak (about 1-inch thick)
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
Place the steak in a ziptop bag and add the soy sauce. Squeeze out all of the air and seal. Place in the refrigerator and let marinate for at least 15 minutes and up to 24 hours.
Remove the steak from the fridge and let it come up to room temperature, about 15 minutes. Heat your grill or grill pan to medium-high.
For a medium-rare steak, cook it 5 to 6 minutes per side until a meat thermometer reaches 125-130° when inserted into the center. Transfer to a cutting board and let rest 5 minutes before slicing. Be sure to slice against not with the grain.
