Cardamom Sugar Broiled Grapefruit
Active Time: 5 minutes | Total Time: 10 minutes | Serves 4 | Vegan | Gluten Free
- 2 pink grapefruit
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
- Small pinch flaky sea salt
Heat the broiler (with the oven rack about 4 inches from the top) to high.
Cut the grapefruit in half. Trim the bottoms so they sit flat. Using a paring knife, cut around each section to loosen. Place the grapefruit on a rimmed sheet pan. In small bowl, combine the sugar and cardamom. Sprinkle over the grapefruit.
Broil until the sugar starts to burn, 5 to 10 minutes. Sprinkle with a few flakes of sea salt.
