Caramelized Peaches and Ice Cream

- 1½ pounds fresh peaches
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ¼ cup dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Tiny pinch of kosher salt
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Slice the peaches into half-inch wide wedges.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the peaches and swirl the skillet until the butter starts to brown. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the peaches and gently stir until the sugar melts. Add the cream, vanilla, and salt. Swirl the skillet until the sauce comes together.
Serve the peaches and sauce over the ice cream.
